After 300 days at the restoration site and the renovation of 6sqm, the restoration of the monumental complex “San Domenico” has come to an end. It is one of Lotto’s most important works, which thanks to the works of the laboratories COO.BE.C. of Spoleto and funding by Enel, has started to show its vivid colours and its amazing details again.
As part of the project Terre di Lotto (Lotto’s lands) five new lighting fixtures of Lotto’s paintings housed in Marche’s churches have been installed. They are LED energy-saving bulbs, created using modern technology and aimed at the control of the light and the perception of chromaticism; they were specifically developed and produced by Targetti Sankey

A facsimile copy of the original, which includes two volumes in a slip case, is kept in the Historical Archives of the Holy House. It was published and transcripted by Floriano Grimaldi and Katy Deaf, Loreto, the Pontifical Delegation for the Shrine of the Holy House of Loreto, 2003.
Wednesday 22th February at 6.15 pm, Mario Dal Bello will hold a conference on “Lorenzo Lotto, un uomo del nostro tempo” (Lorenzo Lotto, a man of today) in the Pinacoteca Civica (City art gallery) in Palazzo Pianetti in Jesi as part of the “Incontri di storia dell’arte in Pinacoteca” (Meetings about the history of art in the art gallery).
Mario Dal Bello, art and film critic, works as a journalist of art and performance for the magazine “Città Nuova” (New City). He has recently published an essay entitled “Lorenzo Lotto. Un incontro” (Lorenzo Lotto. A meeting), Vatican Publishing House 2011. The volume will be on sale in the book shop of the Pinacoteca (art gallery).
For people keen on art and Lorenzo Lotto, an amazing event has been organised in the Galleria degli Stucchi in Palazzo Pianetti in Jesi. Friday 8th July at 9.15pm, Giovanni Villa, who looked after/ curator of the anthological exhibition about Lotto set up in the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, will hold a conference entitled “L’ombra dell’Angelo”. After the conference, people can take part in a guided tour in order to admire the works by Lotto housed in the Pinacoteca Civica in Jesi.
